Under federal and state law, public school districts must identify and evaluate children who may have a disability. Each school district develops procedures to screen students, ages 3-21. This also applies to children who are home-schooled, in private schools, or living in transition.

Related Service Providers
The Missoula Area Education Cooperative and its 15 member school districts provide special education and related services to students with disabilities, from ages three through 21 years. All member school districts comply with state and federal requirements under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEIA or IDEA).

Finding the Cooperative Office in the North Reserve Business Center
Entering the North Reserve Business Center from Stockyard Road, you will see our building on the left side of the entrance. There is a large black sign on the building with Missoula Area Education Cooperative on it and the uppercase letter "I" on the outside corner of the building (see photo below). Find us on the first floor of building "I" at the end of the hallway in Suite i-2.
